MRIMPACT brings together all units of MREI to allow students to choose an opportunity that aligns best with their interests and aptitude. Apart from deciding between a teaching and a non-teaching role, MRites can choose among the departments they wish to intern with – from Research to Academic Schools and from CRC to Admissions to Marketing, the opportunities are abundant.
Teaching Internships offer students the opportunity to work closely with faculty members and gain first-hand experience in the art of teaching. As teaching assistants, they actively participate in classroom activities, assist in lesson planning, and provide academic support to students. This hands-on exposure allows interns to develop effective communication skills, hone their subject knowledge, and understand the intricacies of classroom management. Through this experience, they acquire the tools and techniques necessary to become proficient educators in the future.
Non-Teaching Internships present students with a wide range of departments to choose from, Including but not limited to administration, marketing, human resources, event management, content writing, research, and development. These internships provide students with a chance to explore different career paths and industries, develop networking skills, and gain insight into the day-to-day operations in their chosen field. By working on real-time projects, interns acquire practical skills and enhance their problem-solving abilities, allowing them to excel in their professional endeavours.
The internship program may offer compensation as a gesture of appreciation for the interns' contributions. Interns may also receive additional benefits such as access to learning resources, professional development opportunities, and networking events to enhance their overall experience.
